As part of a national wide Oral Health Promotion and Oral Health Education Project and in order to encourage student participation a Competition was organized. We received more than 230 entries were (152 Posters and 80 poems) that resulted in a 2 day exhibition of posters and poems in the center of Athens. All the entries in the competition as well as pictures of the event may be found on the Project’s website. This event also marked the end of this very successful Project that managed to create an informal network of 1.000 volunteer dentists and 2.000 teachers (through the 15 workshops that were organized in the course of the Project and also through the dentist’s visits at schools). Finally it set the foundations for a lasting relationship between children (later on adults) and dentists, where the dentist is a friend of the family.
