CMT Prooptiki participated in the collection of gender equality policy documents and grey literature which was requested by the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE).
The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) is an autonomous body of the European Union, established to contribute to and strengthen the promotion of gender equality, including gender mainstreaming in all EU policies and the resulting national policies, and the fight against discrimination based on sex, as well as to raise EU citizens’ awareness of gender equality. EIGE has appointed Studio Come srl to contact national stakeholders and collect relevant documents about national gender equality policy. Studio Come was supported by a network of national gender experts in each of 10 EU member states. CMT Prooptiki represented Greece.
The collective documents are about the follow topics: Gender-based violence, Gender and media, Gender mainstreaming, Gender and climate change, Work-life balance, Men and gender equality, Women and the economy, Women in decision making: political and economic, Gender and sports and Gender and research, technology and innovation, including women in ICT.
The documents are to be shipped and placed in EIGE’s Resource & Documentation Centre (RDC) in Vilnius, Lithuania, in order to be searchable on EIGE’s RDC online http://eige.europa.eu/rdc and physically available in EIGE’s RDC specialised library in Vilnius.
